WAY TOO EXPENSIVE-$300+ for one night is RIDICULOUS! I expect this in a larger metropolitan area-not in Martinsville for one night. This is crazy. Also asked for a room away from elevators and was put right across the floor elevator. Not

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR JUST ONE...
Positives:
The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. The evening clerk was extremely nice and helpful.
Negatives:
The clerk who checked me in was not friendly at all. In the first room I was sent to, the sheets were dirty.and it looked like someone had already slept in the bed. I was given a second room, and although the sheets looked much better, I was disappointed that the duvet AND the insert needed to be cleaned. The Hampton Inn is the most expensive hotel in the Martinsville area and the average charge for a room is $180 per night, and often goes above $200, I can, and have booked hotels in large suburban areas for less and they are 4, sometimes 5 star hotels. I expect more from the Hampton Inn, especially for the price they are charging.
