The employees I spoke to were reasonable, but seemed surprised that there were issues. I was able to obtain a refund for the second night after leaving early despite the website saying it wouldn't be possible, but it did take more than a week to go through.
Negatives:
I shouldn't have booked at a place that allowed smoking anywhere in the facility. I booked the accessible room, which was listed as non-smoking, but the room smelled very strongly of marijuana. Additionally, the lobby smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke, which I found intolerable even though I don't have any breathing issues or sensitivity to smells.

You could tell they try real hard it's an older hotel but it's absolutely spotless caring considerate staff super clean rooms excellent value right off the highway you can walk to Logan's for dinner we did!

The hall way smelled god awful. The carpet was so dirty in the halls my feet stuck to it. When I got into the room. The place smelled like chemicals from a pool. Ironically enough there was no pool. Every 10 minutes a cop would patrol the premises.

The entire building wreaked of cigarette smoke, there were people in and out of their room all night being very loud, they sell condoms at the front desk, and I’m pretty sure they went by the hour.

The place stunk of old smoke and current pot smoking on the NON-SMOKING floor we were on. Staff did NOTHING to investigate or stop it. I'll never stay at an Econolodge anywhere ever again!
