The chairs in the room were very uncomfortable! The mattresses on the bed were placed on platforms that made sitting on the edge of the bed VERY uncomfortable, cutting off the circulation to my legs!

The rooms were big and came with a kitchen. We had 2 bathrooms for the 5 of us so that was why we choose here.
Negatives:
There were roaches everywhere. We found pills on a plate under the bed. The rooms smelled terrible and the kitchen utensils were not clean. We did not end up staying there and found somewhere else.

Older and in need of some remediation and repair. Three nights - no one cleaned our room. I know they've cut back to every other day and I appreciate that. But, by day two, a refresh was needed on coffee cups, etc. Very loud from outside noise and neighbors.

The only plus was the bed, it was clean and comfortable.
Negatives:
The room was dirty, floors in the main area had a gritty feel and dirt in the corners, bathroom sink wasn't cleaned well, bathroom floor looked like the grout had never been scrubbed. Also I killed multiple stink bugs, probably came in through the gap at the top of the door. A/C didn't worked well, was hard to get the room cool.

The room was dirty with hair on the shower walls and the tub didn't drain well. By the time I finished my shower I was standing in 4" of water. There was a 1" gap at the bottom of the door.

The rooms were very clean! It was obvious the management took pride in their facilities. The sheets were stain-free. The bathrooms were free from hair, dirt or mold. Just exceptionally clean! Which made it so much easier to relax on our trip.
Management was also so very welcoming. They made my kids and I feel comfortable and at ease, with my youngest even saying "that guy was really nice!" I really felt like if we needed anything, they'd have made an effort to provide.
The Thai restaurant at this hotel was very good as well. We were really pleased with the delicious food, although the restaurant service did lack a little. The waiter wasn't super friendly, but I don't think that's a fair reflection on the hotel. The complementary breakfast was really good! We really enjoyed it! There wasn't another hotel in the area that offered breakfast comparable to the rates of this hotel, and ultimately that's why I chose to stay here. Can't beat a complementary breakfast!
The location of this hotel was so convenient. I was consistently happy with the drive to and from. Very close to the Shenandoah River State Park, only a 20min drive, and short walk from the historic downtown!

There were other reviews that were not great, saying that rooms were dirty or they didn't feel supported by staff, but I truly didn't have that experience at all.
The only minor complaint I could even have was that the TV was pretty old and I couldn't screencast from my phone or stream anything. I had older kids staying with me and we found it mildly inconvenient.

Exceeded our expectations
Positives:
The location was good. It was very close to the north entrance to Shenadoah National Park. Breakfast had good options - waffles, egg patties, sausage links, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juice, toast, danish rolls, muffins.
Negatives:
The floors in the room were not clean. There was pink mold around the caulking around the tub. We did not get clean towels the day we requested them. It seems like people were living at the motel.
