Candlewood Suites is pet friendly! Pets weighing less than 80 pounds are welcome. A non-refundable pet fee will be charged to the guest’s account upon check-in based upon the length of stay -- 6 nights up to $75, 7+ nights up to $150. Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available upon request. Pets may be left unattended in your room. However, if you leave the premises of the hotel with your pet unattended in the room, the pet must be in a crate or pet carrier while you are gone.

Women working the front desk were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Appreciated the dog bowl provided for my pup, too. And the coffee available in the lobby 24/7 was great.
Negatives:
Overall, my room was very clean, but the floor around the kitchen area needed a mopping. Also, more attention is needed to the grounds -- there were empty liquor bottles in the dog-walking area all weekend, and the container for putting dog waste was full/overflowing by Sunday morning.

The staff is amazing. Absolutely great southern hospitality. The rooms have been remodeled recently and are very nice with comfortable beds and pillows.

pleasant staff, central location convenient to food, shopping, and the university.
Negatives:
the smell of cleaning solution used throughout the room was so strong and overpowering. Not for sensitive people. Good thing that window open and we could air it out somewhat. All our things smelled of it when we got home.
