The room was old and scuffed. It really needs an upgrade. The elevator was broken. As long as I’ve been staying here, that has never happened. The lady that checked me in was super nice. I had stopped to see if I could check in early, that lady was rude. I only asked.

I liked that it was conveniently located across the street from the Natural Bridge State Park. The lights were great.
Negatives:
Elevator was out of order- moved to a handicapped room on the first floor. No one mentioned it was beside the lounge that banged music all night. Dining room was closed for a private party. No coffee at check out.

The lights at Natural bridge were worth the drive but I would not stay the night again.

When we checked in, we were informed that the elevator did not work.....we had a second floor room and my wife has severe spinal stenosis., (the lady at the desk DID offer to help carry our luggage, which I declined. THEN we were informed that the Colonia Dining Room was closed for lack of people staying...I would NOT have shown up had I known all of that, as this for my wife's Christmas present..we had to drive up the road to a diner..in defense of the lady working the desk, she was gracious and tried hard to be helpful

Staff at front desk RUDE. TV did not work upon arrival, front desk staff says they would write it down but too busy with check ins to address. Informed to use the fire pit needed to be pre arranged !!!! This is not true. For all to use. Dirty towels hanging on back of bathroom door. Broken windows, fire alarm non functioning hanging out of ceiling. Front window no lock anyone could open from outside and enter your room. When addressing any of the above concerns......NOTHING JUST RUDE STAFF !!!

It could have need cleaner-dust on the furniture in dining room - though to be honest, the bright sunlight does show every speck of dust. There were some hairs in our shower upon entry to our room.

This was the first stop on our honeymoon.
Positives:
This hotel is a tarnished silver tea cup…it needs a serious scrubbing and polish. It’s a handsome building. We had dinner in the Tavern and thought it was great…had terrific Cosmopolitans (loved the bartender), delicious tomato bisque soup and chicken tacos. Beds were comfy and breakfast was off menu.
Negatives:
Cleaning and paint would go a long way. The windows are quite dirty on the outside-the sliders in our room going out to a patio and the windows in the dining room were the ones that stood out. Paint on all trim throughout the hotel.
