Excellent place!
Positives:
Mr. Ed was on duty upon our arrival and was very friendly and professional even when there was a bit of confusion with payment to no fault of the hotel, it was with the Booking.com. Our room was very spacious and clean; the twins were very happy with the room and did not want to leave the next morning. The breakfast offered a variety of options hot and cold, the service was great, kudos to both the kitchen and bar staff. The hotel's location is excellent it was very close to the Arts District and the Ferguson Center where we were attending an event. It is also close to various and historical sites and museums, shopping, and restaurants. This area Oyster Point is an up-and-coming part of the city with a lot of construction with multi-use areas, putting a spotlight on Newport News.
The hotel and these areas are convenient to both the interstate and local state routes, making traveling back to our home base easy and convenient. All in all, a very good trip.
Negatives:
The confusion with the payment at check=in, not the Hotel's fault.

Great Trip
Positives:
Bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water, quiet most of the time
Negatives:
It’s kind of a convoluted road, no vending machines and since I was snowed in one night I had to pay the exorbitant prices for some snacks from their “market”. The pipes make a lot of noise if someone is showering in a nearby room.
