I booked this room and was told that it was a book now, pay later at hotel. While two hours into my four hour ride towards the hotel my card was charged but declined due to the card being locked. I then called the hotel in hopes of getting them to run the card again but was told by staff that my room had been canceled and they didn’t have any more rooms available to book at that time. I then asked how was that possible if my room was just canceled and I wasn’t aware that they would be charging my card early. The staff then stated that due to the hotel being booked up all cards were charged earlier then normal due to them being sold out and wanting to know “who had the money now” if you didn’t have the money now then your room was placed back on the site to be booked. Upset is not even the word for how I felt. As a travel agent I have NEVER in my life heard of this, it’s not in their policy anywhere. So two hours into my drive and I’m having to drive and find another hotel all at the same time. I would not recommend this hotel just based off of the interaction I had with the staff member. It was nonchalant, inconsiderate, almost like an “oh well at least we got somebody’s money” I would not send any of my clients here to be treated that way. To me the explanation was horrible and I was really upset to receive it the way I did.

The bedding for the sleeper sofa was disappointing. It had a dirty mattress cover on it when we pulled it out. The staff gave me a clean one.

The location was excellent right off of the 95 and the facility was clean and had everything you need for a good night's sleep.

The $75 pet fee is exorbitant and not Equitable to what other hotels charge. If I had the option to cancel I would have. I will not be staying there again and I make this trip often. I have a hotel that is just as nice that charges $25.
