The Clarion Inn North is located near several landmarks, notable points of interest and botanical gardens, just a few miles from historic downtown Richmond. Richmond International Raceway is five miles, Kings Dominion amusement park is within 15 miles and the Richmond International Airport is only 20 miles from the hotel. The University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College and Randolph-Macon College are also just minutes away. Positives: I asked for a quiet room and I had 2 great nights sleep which I much needed. Parking was plentiful & convenient.
Negatives: Lobby bright, refurbished, updated. My room was not. rec'd no map of where my room was. Was dark when I checked in. Was told drive around to the back. NO VISIBLE room numbers. No desk to work at. No seating set up to watch TV.

Positives: The staff was friendly. They let us bring our dog.
Negatives: 1. Advertised pool was green and locked up. Could not be used. 2. The breakfast was small and the same daily. Not very good. 3. Everything felt kind of dirty and greasy. Carpets needed cleaned. They did come by to clean rooms unless you asked for it.

Positives: My first room was very dirty, low lighting, no working microwave and a static television for Room 227. When I complained about the Room 227 I had to move my things to Room 331 which was more livable than the first experience, I liked being on the first floor as a location, I like the politeness of the staff was a plus. I appreciated that their were not any insects in the room as pests and that the doors to the balcony was secured for my safety. The sheets were mostly changed and I was provided with fresh towels, Without having High expectations for this Inn at Quality Inn. I would give three and a half stars for politeness, staffing and effort to keep Room 331 clean but the bathroom also needs work on cleaning between stays. Question what is going on with the hole in the sink drains anything can go done those drains, it need a strainer. I give this Inn three and a half stars. I also thank the Staff for their help while my stay at Quality Inn, Thank You.
Negatives: The hole in the bathroom sink drain, lack of a strainer. The lack of my clear plastic shower cap and green wash cloth that I owned. I did not like having to ask for my things to be found or left standing in my room. Cleanliness is a plus and the bathroom especially the toilet and shower curtain requires cleaning and more attention. I understand that I may have had to high of a expectation as a guest.
