Holiday Inn Roanoke - Tanglewood Route 419 & I 581

Negatives: We waiting at the restaurant for over an hour for our food The bathroom door locked so they had to switch our rooms The sheets were dirty Staff was rude

Negatives: The reconstruction of the center was a mess. The “lobby” was pitiful, albeit temporary.

Negatives: I was in booked into a room with a connector door to the next room ( This was not something I requested and would have preferred to not have it as I was traveling alone). Unfortunately, the person that was in the adjoining room turned out to be very loud and was in the room making a lot of noise until well after midnight, and up again at 6 am with the TV blasting. The noise he made sounded like he was in my room or extremely close. There was light from his room that reflected underneath the connector door in my room. Needless to say it was a sleepless night for me and made me feel very uneasy.

Negatives: Well….. they are doing construction, so it was a bit dirty and raggedy on the first floor….and confusing to maneuver around, but that’s to be expected. The main thing I didn’t like was , They had a bunch of teenagers running the front desk, A young girl maybe 18 or 19, was sitting at the desk, in jeans and a t shirt, on her phone, eating fried chicken, and she had two young boys up there with her , goofing around and playing,watching tik toc. When I walked in they didn’t even acknowledge me, as I was waiting to check in. They just moved out of the way and the young girl said “ checking in”? While still chewing her chicken. I checked in and walked to my room.She didn’t explain thing! Nothing about the amenities ,or the easiest way to get to my room, nothing about how to contact room service or anything! ( remind you the Hotel is under construction) I was disgusted, but didn’t wanna ruin my sons birthday weekend based on their ignorant hospitality. I found my room eventually. Thank God the room was nice.

Negatives: Hotel was undergoing construction, which was fine EXCEPT walking through construction areas, especially with a pet, was not a great experience. The curtain in the room was literally pointless, and the shade still allowed for a ton of light (from a streetlamp) to shine in while trying to sleep.

Negatives: Person at desk could not find my reservation. Ended up paying more for room and took the new years room package at additional cost. And when we got to lounge we were told that they didn’t have us listed to be there. So we just went elsewhere to bring in New Year’s Eve. Seams to be a lot of confusion with every step we made there. Some training may be needed !!! Breakfast next morning we were told at 9:30 that doors would be closing soon. So we went to Waffle House across the road so not to make them late to close.

Negatives: Everything, under construction

Negatives: It appeared the hotel was under construction/rehab. Saw cement stuck to the tub. Bath room was not clean. Saw something stuck to the floor and sink was not clean.

Negatives: Mold growing around the bathtub. We took the “breakfast included” option and were extremely disappointed. The waiter appeared to be someone who had just come off a construction worksite (although he was was very nice). Of the five items on the breakfast menu, there were no waffles because he said their waffle iron was broken. They offered both white and wheat bread, but only had white. They could’t come up with real silverware so gave us plastic. When the food came, every one of our four orders was incorrect.

Negatives: We found leftover food in refrigerator in room. construction items were found down hallways as the lace was in middle of renovations. The breakfast buffet was set up in the bar area which was dark and crowded.
