Positives:
THE FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES, BOTH DAYS WERE 10/10 VERY POLITE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.. The lady working the breakfast buffet was very sweet and helpful also. I only dealt with one housekeeper when I had to get trash bags but she was also very friendly.
The staff there are the ONLY reason I gave ANY stars.
Negatives:
The entire hotel was dirty, trash all in the hallways, food and crumbs on the couch in the lobby. There was a blood spot on our blanket. Some of our towels and washcloths were also dirty and had to be switched out. When we folded out the pullout sofa there was what looked like broken acorns or some sort of foilage all over it. There were hairs all in the beds and hanging from the blow dryer. We had to buy cleaner and disinfectant spray to clean the entire room. The towel bar in the shower was missing, so it was just two nasty looking open holes in the shower wall. Our kids basketball team stayed on the 3rd floor above us, their rooms were the same... also, when we arrived and the entirety of the stay the entire third floor was a cloud of weed smoke even though all of the rooms are nonsmoking. The view from our window was of their courtyard area where the pool is.... there were probably about fifteen dressers or nightstands and lamps thrown around outside and about 40 mattresses just sitting outside that I assume they were going to bring back in and use when they finished the renovation on the first floor..... I'm sure at that point they will be full of mice and other rodents. Whoever owns this hotel obviously is not concerned with having return guests.

Breakfast was very nice--liked having some eggs especially. The breakfast area was nice with plenty of room with a good view too. The location of the hotel is in a good, safe area very near the Lewis-Gale hospital. In summer we think the swimming pool and hot tub area would be very pleasant. We visit this area often and would definitely stay here again.

Both lamps did not work, tge refrigerator was broken and smelled bad, the TV screen had a purple hue.. we have stayed there many times, but this was very different, we will not stay again..one lamp not working is understandable, not both, a broken smelly fridge..disgusting
