Positives: Loved the ocean front view & balcony. The room was clean and spacious, with great lighting in the room and bathroom. I enjoyed having a fridge and microwave in the room. I also appreciated having parking at the hotel.
Negatives: Housekeeping came while I was getting dressed. I asked them to come back later, but they never did, so my room had quite a bit of trash until the next day.. There was also a fire alarm prompting us to leave the building. I walked down 8 flights of stairs just to get downstairs to nothing actually happening and casually being told it was a false alarm.

Positives: Booking.com stipulated that hampton south pool would be open during our stay. It wasn't & we were not notified. We left next day
Negatives: Neither hampton south hotel staff nor booking.com would do ANYTHING to help. Hilton did make hotel change with refund. Never use booking again!

Positives: All of the staff were great in customer service! The girl at the desk on Sunday was awesome!
Negatives: One elevator was being serviced for our 4 days there, so, it was not working. Every one had to depend on the 1 elevator for all 7 floors of guests and staff. Online, the indoor pool was to be open during our stay dates but it was still closed for renovation.

Also- our room was described as having 4 beds and there were only 3 this was with pull out couch included. Negatives: Hotel was STILL under massive renovations despite end timeline when I booked . One functioning elevator . "Remoldeling workmanship is shoddy and of terrible quality . Logistics with parking ramp is terrible . Hateful Left wing propaganda (MSNBC & CNN) while eating is unexceptible..was told it was "corporate policy " .

Positives: Location was right on beach. We had a full ocean view and balcony. Are room was clean.
Negatives: DO NOT STAY HERE! How to start with this? When we checked in the only 2 elevators were working. The next morning only one worked. There was no annual inspection in the elevator, as I have always seen working in hospitals. The elevator had a mind of its own and stopped at random floors and made lots of noises. The sign said "Certificate on file in back office." When we inquired after the wedding we attended. The front desk could not produce and the certificate of inspection because it was locked up in the Managers office. It was not avaible for public viewing? The Night manager had no name tag and would not give his name when asked? My husband shot a pic of him to identify him if we had further problems. The manager then got angry and said "I GOT YOUR NAMES AND All YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION." We went up to our room. I told my husband I did not feel comfortable staying their due to the threating manor of the staff. About 10 min later the VA BEACH SHERIFF deputies knocked on our door and questioned us. We explained the situation and told them to look in the elevator for inspection and talk to the manager at the front desk that had threatened us and called the police. The elevator would take 10 min to get to your floor then you had to squeeze in. Then it stopped at floors no one was at. Then it would go back up when originally going down. I asked again in the am to see the certificate and the front desk. The attendant said he didn't know. I ask asked to speak to the manager. He checked with the manager and asked me to come back in 10 min. I said OK and went to get my husband. When we met with the Manager he produced a certificate. We asked him why it was not available at the front desk. He said he didn't want it to get stolen. I didn't know an elevator inspection certificate that had a place with tamper proff screws in elevator would be stolen from elevator or front desk.
