Positives: Location was ok if you have a car as we did (rental). It was a short drive to the new Angle Lake end of the line light rail station.
Negatives: Very minimalist, no amenities such as breakfast, small room, shabby feel.

Negatives: The room did smell a little musty, but it didn't prevent a good night's sleep.

The staff were friendly and helpful although rushed. The shuttle was a real plus since we had to be at the airport by 7 am. The beds were comfortable, the temperature was good.

Positives: The room was quiet and it was only moderately expensive.
Negatives: When we arrived, we stood in a line and waited at least 15 minutes to check in because only one desk clerk was available to register all the people in line. My husband needed to use the lobby bathroom. It was locked. He asked a hotel employee for the key and was told that it was available only at the desk, and of course, the desk clerk was busy checking in a line of 8 or 9 people...so no help there and also no concern. Later in the evening we returned our rental car at the airport and called the hotel for their shuttle. We were told it would arrive in a few minutes. We waited 15 minutes, then called the hotel a second time. We were told the shuttle had been there and we must have missed it. After half an hour we called the hotel a third time. The response was, "Oh, it's coming." The shuttle arrived 15 minutes later. The driver told us that he had just been notified to pick us up. This was 45 minutes or so after our original call. The driver then picked up 6 more people. It was obvious that the hotel instructed their staff not to send the shuttle until several people were waiting for it. We lost at least an hour of our time that evening. We received no apology for our long wait and were never told that we might have to wait for such a long time. The Red Roof staff members were indifferent and inconsiderate in all these instances. Because of this uncaring and inconsiderate treatment, we will not stay at a Red Roof Inn again.
Review
My overall impression of the hotel was that the well being of the patrons was not important to the staff or to the hotel management.
