Negatives:
This was our first time staying at a Double Tree location and the part I was most looking forward to was getting a warm cookie. If they had run out, I would have understood but there were other patrons checking in next to us who received one and unfortunately, we didn't. The staff checking us in, did not seem happy to help us. It was late at night so I do understand that she could have been tired. The room was a bit dusty and the armchair cushion was falling apart. We weren't expecting much but we were hoping for a better experience.

Parking logistics are a nightmare. Long walk, struggle to find a spot and not explained by staff. Poor lighting. Condition of parking lot surface is very uneven and broken and unsafe for walking. Our wing had no access ramp - we had to horse heavy luggage up the entrance steps.

Used tub water. Though I checked in early, I didn't discover an issue until sleep time.
I didn't have time to address the issues with the management as I needed to sleep, so I couldn't have maintenance in the room. I chose this hotel so I wouldn't experience glitches.
For an upscale hotel, the room was more like a so-so motel. Yes,, I said Motel

Across the street from the airport. Our reservations were not received by the hotel. The first person that "helped" us was slow, no eye contact and barely cordial. The next person, two hours later was great.

This is a massive facility. I count my steps every day so this was a plus for me. For others, there may be a fair amount of walking to and from your car, lobby etc.
