The bathroom was teensy-tiny, probably the smallest bathroom I’ve ever been in. But this is clear from the photos and room description at the time of booking, so if you want/need a bigger bathroom, then book a different room (the hotel does have bigger ones).

Hotel sends excessive emails (via booking.com) pre checkin. I don’t want all their spam and happy to deal with any formalities on arrival. Don’t abuse my mailbox ☹️

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities were clean and location was excellent. The hotel was a tremendous value and I would definitely stay at Hotel Max again.
Negatives:
The bathroom layout is a little funky but I understand why…retrofitting an old building into a hotel can have its quirks. It was not a big issue.
