Bed was comfortable, room temp was easy to control, staff was friendly
Negatives:
Doors on rooms close VERY LOUDLY and I was woken up multiple times due to doors closing in the hall. Also poor sound proofing between floors--could hear lots of foot stomping, people walking around in room above, kept me awake both nights of stay.

Whilst in Chicago I made a last minute decision to drive up to Madison to see a friend. I wasn't anticipating to find anything decent/affordable at the last minute, but TRU popped up. It had great reviews and the price was right. I got to the hotel quite late but there was someone there to greet me and was super friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Shower was wonderful. Simple but great. The breakfast was expansive and the checkout was easy. All in all a great place to stay!

The second sift desk clerk was wonderful. We got back late. There was no parking available in the front lot, so I had to park in the lot behind the building. She told my wife to let me know that she was leaving and that I could have her parking space.
