The entire hotel was very clean including my room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast included was delicious.

Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean although a little far for someone with walking disabilities.
Negatives:
The pool had duck poop in it and the hot tub looked dirty. We realize that they are cleaned in the morning but perhaps a second quick cleaning would allow guests to use it at night. We only booked for the pool and hot tub experience knowing we had a long day of travel to unwind from. McNeil's had good tasting food but smaller portions and much higher prices than when we visited 3 years ago.

Person that checked us in want helpful when we asked a good place to eat at 8:00 on a Sunday after he told us the restaurant in the hotel was closed. Have me a pamper with over 100 restaurants, so I had to go to my room and find out what was close and open at that time. Would have been helpful if he could have given us a couple choices as a local to a traveler
The shower head and tub both need to be updated. Bathroom looked very nice and modern except when you looked at the tub
Also found two bugs and I wish I would have taken pictures. One in the bathroom and one in the main area.

Stay was ok, but not a great stay

The room and bed were exceptional.
Negatives:
Either the plumbing or refrigerator constantly made knocking noise like loud knocking on the door. Very annoying. Could use more than 1 elevator. The walk is extremely hard for older persons and people with disabilities. Not aware this would be an issue.

This hotel is a unique gem as the courtyard pool area is why we booked it. We also loved the breakfast included in the stay as it was very delicious and the staff were excellent there. We liked the upscale look of this hotel and thought it was a great deal for the price.
Negatives:
I booked through booking.com and when we checked in, we were given the worst room available as it looked directly into a brick wall. I believe it was room 250. I asked if we could have a room with a view and even down graded from a king to two queesn beds to get that and when we walked into room 160 what did we see, nothing but trees. I feel the trees are great looking in the courtyard but definitely need to be trimmed back. The women who checked us in, wish I remembered her name was not very informative on what the hotel offered and was not pleasurable after we said we booked through the booking site. We loved the hotel itself and pool area, just feel the check-in could have been handled better.
