Loved the historic building. Loved the high ceilings. Loved the blackout drapes. Loved the self serve shop.
Negatives:
Loud vent, air freshener smell was yucky, bathroom light bulb burned out, only one bar soap, every other day housekeeping is unacceptable, something stuck on upholstered chair, breakfast customer service was ridiculously bad. Housekeeping knocked at 8am on our last day. We were not ready to leave our room for several hours. I asked several times what checkout time is. She could not answer the question.

What an amazing, historical building! Very cool that it has been transformed into a hotel. The photography on the walls of the public areas is evocative of the Milwaukee of generations past. Also, just a block from the impressive food market.
