Tucker Talks with Tudor Rose Manor

I recently had a doggie dilemma, but I’ve found the “pawfect” solution. For our next family reunion, we all want to stay together near a great dog friendly beach. When I found out about Tudor Rose Manor in Aptos, California, I knew it was time to tell the rest of my family to pack up and head west! This large home is the perfect destination for a group gathering, and it's just a short walk to the pet friendly Rio Del Mar Beach on Monterey Bay!

I wanted to dig in and learn more about this great vacation rental home, so I asked the owners, Judith and Buck, to fill me in on what a pup like me, and my humans, need to know when we come for our visit.

Tucker: Since I have a large family, I was wondering if Tudor Rose Manor is big enough for all of us to come and stay...comfortably?

Judith: Absolutely, Tucker! Our Grand English Tudor Manor is just the right setting for larger groups of people and their pets. It can accommodate up to 14 guests, with its 6+ bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. And, human guests may bring up to 5 furry or feathered family members with them when they visit Tudor Rose Manor. Guests have plenty of space to spread out while being able to stay together in the same home.

Tucker: So, this great Manor is close to the beach, but there may be times when we want to stay in and just have some fun at home. What can you tell me about other activities and amenities we can all enjoy?

Buck: Tudor Rose Manor has great amenities on-site for everyone! There’s a backyard with multiple picnic tables, a flower garden and plenty of chairs, not to mention the stainless steel gas BBQ and Weber charcoal BBQ for those who love to grill. We also have a great grassy lawn area for playing a round of Croquet, and we provide the set. Guests can kick back and relax in our 5-person bubbling hot tub, or watch movies on one of our 3 large flat screen TVs. If friendly competition is what you're looking for, family and friends can "get their game on" with the Foosball & Pool Combo Game Table in the upstairs Game Room!

Tucker: As you know, I’m an awesome dog! But, some of my furry family members are not of the canine variety--I have a bunny for a cousin and a kitty for a nephew. Can they come and stay at Tudor Rose Manor, too?

Judith: Tucker, you’re in luck!  Pets of all shapes and sizes are welcome at our very pet friendly vacation rental home. We have a large doggie door that leads to our fully fenced-in backyard.  Plus, there’s a 7-mile stretch of great sandy beach that is a quick 3-minute walk from the home. There’s also a nearby Polo grounds with an off-leash area for dogs just like you, Tucker!  Tudor Rose Manor is also next to Seacliff State Beach Park, with the famous wharf and cement ship that are often used as a habitat by sea life.

Tucker: You’ve got me convinced to come and visit--I may not want to leave! Anything else I can tell my pet parents about what they can expect when we come to stay at Tudor Rose Manor?

Buck: In addition to all we’ve mentioned, we also supply free firewood for both the fireplaces in the Manor and for those great beach bonfires. There are a couple of nice delis nearby, and it’s only a short walk to nearby ice cream, a fine restaurant called Cafe Rio and a quaint corner grocery store. Then, at the end of a busy and adventurous day, everyone can be assured of a quiet night's sleep, since we are close to the beach but not so close that there’s the sound of the waves crashing all night long.
