Tucker Talks With Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach VacationsGuess what?! My pet parents just told me they’re planning a trip to North Carolina’s Crystal Coast! The thought of my paws sinking in the sand and splashing about in the cool water sure gets my tail waggin’! I can hardly contain my excitement, so instead of waiting for Mom to figure out where we’re going to stay, I decided to do a little “digging” myself.

As I was sniffing around, I quickly discovered Victory Beach Vacations, which offers great pet friendly vacation rentals in Carolina Beach, NC and Kure Beach, NC. I decided to contact Marci, The Reservation Manager at Victory Beach Vacations, to find out more about their pet friendly accommodations and about all the fun things to do in the Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, NC areas.

Tucker: So Marci, what makes Carolina Beach and Kure Beach great vacation destinations for us furry, four-legged travelers...and our pet parents?

Marci: While there are dog friendly beaches nearby, there are also many other great activities for you and your family to enjoy. There are great dog parks in the area, with beautiful scenery to take in along multiple hiking trails. There are also seaside parks which are perfect for bonfires, fishing and boating. Plus, you and your family can visit Fort Fisher State Park, which is full of colonial history along with exhibits, programs and special events for visitors. And of course, dogs are allowed throughout the park!

Tucker:  I usually just travel with my immediate family, but sometimes we meet up with other family members.  Do you have accommodations where just a few of us can comfortably stay, as well as lodging options for a whole “pack”?  And, what types of extra amenities do your rentals include?

Marci: Tucker, I think we have just what you’re looking for, and then some! Victory Beach Vacations specializes in providing accommodations that are best suited for every family, whether small or large. There are many quaint, affordable rentals to choose from, as well as a great selection of smaller condos to larger, luxury properties with plenty of space and many extra amenities.  Many of our rentals are beachfront or just a short walk to the beach, and they have indoor and seasonal outdoor pools, elevators, sometimes with Jacuzzis. There are also fully-equipped kitchens, large living room areas, multiple bedrooms, master suites, covered decks, gas grills, large screen TVs, free WiFi, garages, and the list goes on. Just about any type of amenity you can dream of is available in one of our Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, North Carolina coastal vacation rentals!

Tucker: What about those special amenities just for me and my furry family members?

Marci: Victory Beach Vacations offers many rentals with special pet friendly features such as fenced yards and grassy areas to explore. Dogs are always welcome at any of our pet friendly rentals, and the nearby dog friendly beaches offer exciting places to run, play, splash and meet new doggie friends.

Tucker: I’m a bigger dog, and sometimes a “pet friendly” place is not really that friendly when it comes to big dogs like me. What is your pet policy for large dogs, the type of dogs, and how many can visit? Are there pet fees?

Marci: Well, Tucker, we like to think we put the “friendly” in “dog friendly”. Each property has certain restrictions, with some allowing small dogs and others allowing larger dogs.  Potential guests should just give us a call before visiting, to check on the specific policies for any particular vacation rental.  We do require a non-refundable pet charge that varies depending on the property restrictions.  We welcome our furry guests with open arms, and hope that they have an enjoyable vacation, just like their pet parents.

Tucker: If I could, I’d stay all day at the beach or one of the dog parks that you mentioned. My family enjoys those activities, too, but there are times when they like to go in town for shopping, dining, etc. What are some of the other pet friendly things we can do around Carolina Beach and Kure Beach?

Marci: No need to fret, Tucker--you’re going to love the other pet friendly activities in our areas! How about meeting some other furry friends while your parents enjoy sampling some great wines and craft beers at a local winery tasting room. Or, how about a bite to eat at one of the local pet friendly pubs, cafes or coffee shops, complete with outdoor patio and deck seating for pups and their people. And, if you’re a brave and confident pooch and you really want to go all out, you can cruise around in a sailboat with your family, and even life vests are provided for large dogs like you.

Victory Beach VacationsWell, Marci, you've convinced me that Victory Beach Vacations has the "pawfect" vacation rental for my pet parents and me! You’ve been so helpful by telling me all about what accommodations, and about the activities in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach for us to experience when we visit. I’m going to tell Mom that the main item on our vacation checklist can be checked off, because if I have it my way (and I usually do), Victory Beach Vacations will be our choice for choosing a great, pet friendly place to stay!
