Positives:
Perfect location for Laguna Beach main beach, nice hotel but very dated in places and the parking charge is extortionate in what is already an expensive hotel which has limited facilities.
Negatives:
We had a terrible nights sleep at Casa Loma. The room makes a host of different noises throughout the night which is incredibly disruptive. In addition, we were woken again early in the morning by a group chatting in reception. The rooms therefore are not soundproof and we could hear every word of their conversation despite being on a different floor to reception! The noise issues need to be addressed as they are not external noises outside the hotel which cannot be managed, they are internal noises which need to be dealt with.

Positives:
Brilliant location next to the beach and near the shops, very convenient. Had the pool view so was conveniently next to the facilities. The room had just enough space to be comfortable, very cozy bed and well lit mirrors.

No inside restaurant or dining

Positives:
The location was great. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy.
Negatives:
The rooms and hallways need a little refreshing. The name of the hotel was changed between the time we made the reservation and checked in so it was very confusing when we tried to find it!
Positives:
Location is good. The pool was nice but you dont see the view unless you stand up in the pool area, because of a big hedge around it. Cookies in the lobby was a nice touch.
Negatives:
We had a very negative experience with this hotel. First, we were placed in a tiny ground floor room facing the parking lot that was dark and bunker-like. The room was hardly bigger than the bed. There was no light filtering curtain so our options with the window were to open the wood shutters so that everyone could see in, or close them making the room entirely dark. We had a big problem with noise coming from two sources: the laundry machine somewhere close to our room on the spin cycle late into the night, and the air conditioner. I assume it was the building laundry machines and it is not acceptable that guests be placed in a room with walls shared with these machines when they are operated late into the night. We couldnt sleep. The air conditioner is also extremely loud and needs to be replaced. We had to turn it off entirely because of the noise and we were laying there sweating because the temperature rose to 78-79F. It was an experience I would expect from a roadside cheap motel, but not for the price we paid for this room.
This was our honeymoon and it was disappointing to be placed in this dark, noisy room that made it so we couldnt sleep. I saw some negative reviews before we booked, and looking back I should have listened. I do not recommend staying here.
