Positives:
The word humble is a good way to describe this hotel. It's honest, clean, safe, friendly, but dated and not pretending to be what it isn't. The employees are busy and friendly, and I was pleased with the crisp white bedding, everything stocked and working in the room, and pleasant fresh air. The breakfast was hot, biscuits and gravy and eggs and waffles. Fresh apples, and juice choices. Coffee excellent. Quiet. Safe atmosphere as I was traveling alone with my 10 year old.
Negatives:
Updated caulk on the bathroom and curtains would be nice, but didn't detract from the positive.

Positives:
Breakfast went well. The food was excellent. The service staff was very friendly.
Negatives:
There was one group of women that used the entry way library room to meet and were there for a prolonged time multiple times during our two day stay. The room was vacant at one point so I and a friend sat in that area to talk. The same group of women came back and promptly sat in the chairs surrounding us so we had to get up and leave. Extremely rude and maybe something the staff could have monitored.

phone buttons were not labeled so had to use my own phone to contact desk. Desk person didn't know which buttons were for front desk. Could not reset the clock after power went off due to storm. Tv not working due to storm. Never did.

Had to request housekeeping services.
Requested extra blankets and a roll away bed twice. Never got the blankets.

Theres seven spots out our room in the building that were in disrepair. Nails sticking out of the nightstand in our room and things that needed cleaning as well. See attached photos.
Nowhere on the site or on the app did it indicate there was an additional $25 charge for our pets. Had we known this, we would have chosen a different location. That seemed dishonest. We had no choice, but to stay because it was a nonrefundable booking, which made it even more of a disappointment.
