Staff was very friendly and were as helpful as possible
Negatives:
Many broken items in our room. Broken furniture, front counter inside room has a giant impossible to miss crack/giant gap all the way across the countertop, broken room phone, broken lamp, hotel provided charging blocks were falling apart because of missing mounting hardware. Temperature in the room when we arrived was 80F, took a long long time to cool down, ac did not work well and was very noisy. Shower head was weird and didn’t work well.

The historic feel of the property was nice. The person at the desk was very nice & helpful.
Negatives:
Disappointed that the only option for parking was valet, for an additional fee. One of the reasons we chose this location was that the website indicated there was a bar & restaurant in the hotel, however upon arrival we discovered that this amenity had been closed for over a month. The website indicates it is open. As a person with mobility challenges, finding a place to have a good meal within walking distance was very difficult - Please keep websites up to date, or in the event that a main amenity is not available, offer a discount of some sort.

Positives:
Decent property in the heart of downtown St. Louis. There's no dedicated lot, so if you're arriving by car it's either paid street parking or a private lot across from the hotel ($30 for 24 hrs, no in and out). Had to leave a lot of my stuff in the car overnight, so I opted for the brightly-lit lot - the front desk staff mentioned that it was "mostly" safe on the street, but I passed through some sketchy neighborhoods nearby on the drive in. The hotel itself is a renovated old building with an industrial feel. I would say it's ideal for solo travelers or couples on a city break, not so much kids. Room and bed were comfy, but the overall experience was definitely more on the urban adventure side.

Location and atmosphere of the entire building. Jason had convinced me it was a safe place for women to walk to dinner IT was not. We didn’t stay. Didn’t even sit down my purse in the room. Backed out.
