Candlewood Suites is pet friendly! Pets weighing less than 80 pounds are welcome. A non-refundable pet fee will be charged to the guest’s account upon check-in based upon the length of stay -- 6 nights up to $75, 7+ nights up to $150. Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available upon request. Pets may be left unattended in your room. However, if you leave the premises of the hotel with your pet unattended in the room, the pet must be in a crate or pet carrier while you are gone.

Positives:
The location was close enough to the highway, yet not too close. The pet area was clean, well lit and a good size.
Negatives:
The night reception was below par. A pet fee was added when we attempted to bring in our dogs. Booking dot com failed to mention this when the room was booked. The only problem with our room was, the tub faucet didn’t fully shut when activating the shower head. So there was a spray coming from both the shower head and the tub spout. The room air conditioner equipment was in the “living area” of the suite and there was just a grill in the wall between the “living area” and the bedroom. Also, instead of vending machines, they had a “cupboard” room that had to be charged to the room vs paying at the machine. Minor issues, but this might help someone else.

We were charged a $75 pet fee for one dog and one night! No one told us about the $75 fee until we checked in. It was never mentioned when we booked. The room turned out to be $189 for one night while advertised as $98
