The location was perfect for us. The beautiful property is in a great, scenic location. A peaceful location, nearby hiking and nice dining were at the top of our list and this hotel was perfect.

The location was very nice in the room was very spacious.
Negatives:
When we arrive, the room is not ready for over an hour after normal check in time. There is no free complementary breakfast in the morning. Half of the lights in the room did not work, the valet that took my car only kept the emergency brake on and left my car in drive. For what I was paying for one night the shower door was dirty, and the window overlooking the view outside had hand marks on it still. Then, as we were exiting the facility to check out, another patron was sitting by the elevator with his robe on, but exposing his private area.

Positives:
Room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly. The food in the restaurant was good quality. Overall it is somewhere we would stay again if we visited Austin purely for the location and wanting to be outside of the city.
Negatives:
The room was quite dated and dark, not much natural light coming through. The pictures advertised are also dated and perhaps paint a different picture to what is reality. The views from our room was a car park and an office block even on a high floor so not quite as picturesque as we'd hoped which was one of the reasons we picked this place as the pictures sold it. Not a huge issue, just something to note.
